DURHAM Cricket have signed wicketkeeper-batsman Ned Eckersley after impressing on trial.
The right-handed batsman has scored over 5,700 first-class runs, scoring 14 centuries for Leicestershire across a seven-year period at Grace Road.
He joined Durham for their pre-season tour in South Africa and scored 83 off 75 balls during the 50-over pre-season match in Potchefstroom.
“I’m pleased to have signed at Durham and can’t wait to get going for the club,” he said.
“I feel ready to go. I’ve already spent a good amount of time here, have got to know the lads well and feel like my game is in good shape going into the season.”
