TWO goals of some quality earned Hartlepool United a fifth successive win and they lifted to third in the League One table.

Nobby Solano and Evan Horwood were on target as Pools won at Bournemouth to make it nine without loss this season and 11 games carried to the last campaign.

Pools fell behind on 37 minutes, when Steven Gregory arrowed a shot into the corner of the net past Scott Flinders from 22 yards.

But minutes later, Pools levelled with a Solano free-kick.

After Adam Boyd was fouled, the midfielder curled an exquisite effort over and around the defensive wall and into the top corner past diving goalkeeper Darryl Flahaven.

The game opened up as it went on and Pools were rewarded with three minutes to go.

James Poole returned the ball into the area and Evan Horwood, on as a second-half substitute for Solano, crashed an angled volley in of the crossbar and post.

Pools are on 19 points and in third spot on goal difference, behind Charlton and Sheffield United.
