Yorkshire have pulled off a major coup by re-signing Jacques Rudolph in a bid to save their season.

The 30-year-old South African returns to the club as an overseas player for the last six LV County Championship matches, starting with the Roses clash against Lancashire at Headingley on Wednesday July 20.

Rudolph spent four seasons as a Kolpak player with the White Rose county between 2007 and 2010, amassing over 5,000 first-class runs.

The prolific left-hander is currently captaining South Africa A on their tour of Zimbabwe.

Yorkshire, due to play Leicestershire in the Friends Life t20 competition tonight, currently lie second bottom in the Championship table.
