Teesside Athletic miss eight players when they line up against Wolviston at Green Lane, Redcar, in the Wearside League this afternoon hoping to put behind them the disappointment of losing the first game of the season on Wednesday, writes Malcolm Pratt.

They cannot call upon Billy Millington, Mike Traynor, Andrew Mitchell, Simon Welch, Ian Johnson, Chris Knight, Simon Tonge or Gary Young.

Wolviston include new signings Wayne Flanaghan, Chris Dunwell, Tom Burke, Anthony Coyle and Michael Waller.

His opposite number, Ronnie Thompson, has lined up four players with Andy Bonner, Lee McMahon, Mick Urwin and Liam Foreman, an 18-year old who has had trials with Sunderland, Hartlepool and Darlington, all in his plans.

Coxhoe Athletic cannot call upon injured pair Philip Reay or Michael Armstrong and manager Don Williams reports that Robert Tones, Alan Tolley, Mark Watson and David Lynch are unavailable against newcomers Hartlepool FC.

Birtley Town visit Cleator Moor Celtic minus Paul Bryson and Kevin Murphy. Newcomers include goalkeeper Josh Carmichael from Jarrow and Chris Hepple.

Boldon CA, with Norman Hunter back as manager, have doubts surrounding Andrew Hunter, Andrew Whalley and Wayne Goodwin but Paul Oley, Paul Burrell and Kevin Burke resume at home to Windscale.
