Hartlepool United have completed a move for Icelandic international Armann Bjornsson.
The powerful 6fr 4in defender has moved from crack Norwegian outfit Brann Bergen, after completing a medical at Victoria Park this morning.
He was ineligible for the Carling Cup tie with Burnley, but will be in contention to start in Saturday's League One game with Norwich - and is the 11th new signing at the club this summer. Richie Jones was passed fit to face Burnley.
Jones suffered a broken bone in a hand in Saturday's win over Gillingham, but was allowed to play with a protective cast on.
He replaced Jon-Andre Fredriksen in central midfield, with Adam Boyd starting up front ahead of the rested James Brown.
Burnley boss Owen Coyle made ten changes to his side from Sunday's win over Everton in the Premier League.
