KALY Sene has left Middlesbrough for Young Boys in a £1m deal.
The striker has signed a four-year deal with the Swiss club, bringing his stay on Teesside to an end after just 12 months at the club.
Sene didn't feature in the plans of Kim Hellberg and it was decided before the end of last season that a move would suit all parties this summer.
He's now returned to Switzerland, having joined Boro from Lausanne last year. Boro will be delighted to recoup a fee for the 25-year-old.
Christoph Spycher, chief sports officer for Young Boys, said: “Kaly Sène will make our attack even more unpredictable. He’s extremely fast and constantly attacks in behind.”

Mathieu Beda, the club's technical director, added: “With his qualities and mentality, Kaly Sène brings exactly what we’re looking for. He’s ready to fully dedicate himself to the team, but of course, he should also be able to utilise his individual strengths.”
Sene follows Delano Burgzorg through the exit door at Boro, with the forward having made his debut for Preston in the Carabao Cup today. Burgzorg made an immediate impact, assisting a last minute equaliser against Huddersfield Town and then scoring the winning penalty in a shootout.
Burgzorg joined Preston on a season-long loan, with North End having the option to make the deal permanent for £2m next summer.
More exits are anticipated before the end of the window. As reported by the Northern Echo on Friday, both Alex Bangura and Micah Hamilton are available to leave this summer and don't feature in Hellberg's plans.
Neither player has been allocated a squad number for the coming season.
There are question marks over the future of Sontje Hansen, who was left out of the squad on Friday night, while Seny Dieng will be allowed to leave if a move presents itself this summer.
