MIDDLESBROUGH forward Delano Burgzorg has joined Preston North End on a season-long loan.
The move was initially expected to be a permanent deal, but after further negotiations between the clubs, a season-long loan was agreed.
It's understood Burgzorg's wages will be covered by Preston throughout the coming season, and North End have the option to make the deal permanent for £2m next summer. Burgzorg still has two years left to run on his contract at the Riverside.
Burgzorg spent the second half of last season on loan at Bristol City, and with Boro having strengthened their forward line with the arrivals of Will Lankshear, Kyle Joseph and Myles Peart-Harris, the 27-year-old dropped down the pecking order.
Boro are in the market for another wide attacker before the transfer deadline early next month.

Burgzorg said: “I'm ready to go and can’t wait to start. I think the club have big ambition and the fans are amazing. Playing in front of them is going to be very exciting.
“I had a good feeling after my first call with the gaffer. He's ambitious, direct, honest and gave me a good feeling.
“I’m exciting to watch as a player. I like to go one-on-one and make runs in behind defenders. I'm ready to score goals and assist.”
Preston boss Paul Heckingbottom said: “I’m really pleased to sign Delano. He provides us with pace and gives us flexibility as well.
“He can play off the left and down the middle and is a good ball carrier. I’m really excited and really pleased that we've got him.
“He's a good personality and is a great addition to the group.”
Burgzorg will be followed through the exit door at Boro by Kaly Sene, who is set to return to Switzerland with Young Boys after his difficult first season on Teesside.
Boro added Max Arfsten to their ranks earlier this week - with the American international set to be involved in tonight's Carabao Cup first round tie against Wrexham - and are putting the finishing touches to the signings of Radek Vitek and Ashley Phillips, who were both on Teesside to undergo their medicals on Thursday.
