MIDDLESBROUGH are in action when they take on Hull City in the Championship on Wednesday.

Here are all the details you need to know about the game…

WHERE IS THE GAME TAKING PLACE?

Having seen off Swansea City at the Riverside on Saturday, Middlesbrough head back out onto the road as they travel to the MKM Stadium to take on Hull City on Wednesday.

Boro will be out for revenge after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Hull in the reverse fixture on Teesside in December. Emmanuel Latte Lath fired Boro ahead in the opening six minutes, but second-half goals from Liam Delap and Ozan Tufan condemned Michael Carrick’s side to defeat.

Boro’s recent record on Humberside is mixed, with their last four away matches against Hull having resulted in a win, a draw and two defeats. The win came last time out, with Boro having secured a 3-1 away win over the Tigers last season thanks to a goal from Chuba Akpom and own goals from Cyrus Christie and Tobias Figueiredo.

WHAT TIME IS KICK-OFF?

Wednesday’s game kicks off at 7.45pm.

ARE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE?

No – tickets for the away section at the MKM Stadium are completely sold out.

Boro will be backed by a travelling contingent of 2,270 fans on Wednesday evening.

The travel club are running buses that leave from the Riverside at 4.15pm. Return tickets for the supporters’ coaches are priced at £25 for adults and £20 for Under-18s, and all Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.

IS THE GAME BEING TELEVISED OR STREAMED LIVE?

Yes – Wednesday’s game is being televised live on Sky Sports and will be available on the Sky Sports Football channel via the Red Button and via the Sky Sports app.

With the game being broadcast live on TV, there is no domestic streaming available.

Radio coverage of Wednesday’s game will be available on BBC Radio Tees, and The Northern Echo’s Dom Shaw will be at the MKM Stadium producing a live blog, report, ratings, reaction and analysis on The Northern Echo’s website.

WHAT IS BORO’S LIKELY LINE-UP?

Rav van den Berg and Hayden Hackney were unused substitutes against Swansea at the weekend, having returned to full training in the previous week.

The pair are both in contention for a return to the starting line-up at Hull, with van den Berg the likelier starter of the duo given that his injury absence was much shorter than Hackney’s.

If van den Berg starts on Wednesday night, Jonny Howson is likely to move back into midfield, having lined up at centre-half in the last three matches.

Luke Thomas will hope to keep his spot at left-back ahead of Lukas Engel, but injured duo Riley McGree and Marcus Forss have both been ruled out for the rest of the season and Josh Coburn also remains sidelined.

Middlesbrough (probable, 4-2-3-1): Dieng; Ayling, van den Berg, Clarke, Thomas; Howson, O’Brien; Jones, Azaz, Greenwood; Latte Lath.

HOW ARE HULL SHAPING UP?

Wednesday’s game could have major repercussions in terms of the battle for the play-offs, with Hull starting the night level on points with Boro in the table. The clubs also have an identical goal difference of plus five, although Hull have a game in hand on their opponents.

Like Boro, Liam Rosenior’s side had a good weekend, winning 3-1 at Cardiff thanks to a brace from Fabio Carvalho and a goal from Jaden Philogene. That was a crucial victory as it ended a run of six games without a victory.

Former Boro loanee Ryan Giles missed Saturday’s win in south Wales through injury, but the full-back has a chance of returning on Wednesday and will hope to dislodge Matty Jacob from the side that started in south Wales at the weekend.

Lewie Coyle was another weekend injury absentee who will hope to at least feature in the squad to face Boro.

Hull (probable, 4-4-2): Allsop; Slater, Jones, Greaves, Giles; Omur, Morton, Seri, Philogene; Tufan, Carvalho.
