MICHAEL Carrick has made one change to his Middlesbrough team for today's game at Swansea, with Alex Bangura replacing Lukas Engel at left-back.

And there's one change on the bench as well, as Calum Kavanagh comes into the squad after scoring four goals for the Under-21s against Crystal Palace on Monday night.

The 20-year-old Irishman has been in fine form the Under-21s and has now been rewarded with his first inclusion in Boro's first team squad under Carrick. He replaces Law McCabe on the bench.

The game has come too soon for Hayden Hackney, who is again missing, while Boro are still without Riley McGree and Marcus Forss as well as the longer term absentees.

Bangura will line up alongside Anfernee Dijkteel, Dael Fry and Rav van den Berg in defence, with Jonny Howson and Dan Barlaser again playing together in midfield. The front four is unchanged, with Isaiah Jones, Matt Crooks and Sam Greenwood playing off Emmanuel Latte Lath. Josh Coburn is missing again as he battles a groin problem.
