DARLINGTON have completed the signing of goalkeeper David Robson on loan from Championship side Hull City.

The 21-year-old shot-stopper has worked his way through the various youth levels at Hull, and signed his first professional contract in December 2019.

He made his senior Hull debut against Bradford City in the Carabao Cup in August 2022, before moving to League Two side Crawley Town on loan, where he played six senior matches.

He then made eight appearances for Farsley Celtic, and played a key role in the National League North side avoiding relegation last season.

He signed a new contract with Hull in June this year, and has been capped by Wales at Under-17 and Under-21s level.

His loan deal with Darlington runs until October 28, and means he will eligible for the home game against Spennymoor Town on that date.

Robson will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s FA Cup qualifying-round tie against Scarborough Athletic.

A Darlington statement said: "We’d like to thank Hull City for their help in arranging David’s loan, and wish David all the best during his spell with us."
