NEWCASTLE UNITED youngster Garang Kuol has joined Dutch side FC Volendam on a season-long loan for the whole of the 2023-24 season campaign.

Kuol, who joined the Magpies from Australian A-League side Central Coast Mariners in January 2023, will link up with the Eredivisie outfit, managed by Matthias Kohler, ahead of the start of their season.

The 18-year-old became Australia's youngest player to feature at the World Cup last year when he made a substitute appearance in a 4-1 defeat against finalists France. He also appeared off the bench against eventual champions Argentina during a 2-1 loss in the last-16.
