Striker Andrew Nelson has signed a two-year contract with Darlington.
He joined Quakers midway through the season, playing on a non-contract basis after overcoming a career-threatening knee with the help of Darlington physiotherapist Danny O’Connor.
He scored three times in 12 games, making it 10 in 25 Quakers appearances including his spell on loan from Sunderland in 2018-19.
Darlington manager Alun Armstrong said: "He did supremely well to recover from injury and return to playing again without any ill effects. Everyone was delighted when he scored at Fylde, so hopefully he can be a regular scorer in the new season.”
The news is a much-needed boost for Darlington, who in recent days have seen influential players Jack Lambert and Alex Purver both leave the club.
Midfielder Tom Platt joined at the weekend after leaving Boston United, agreeing a one-year deal.
