MICHAEL Carrick has made one change to his Middlesbrough side for the visit of Hull City, with Alex Mowatt replacing the injured Aaron Ramsey.
Mowatt earned the start after impressing from the bench against Norwich when he replaced the injured Aston Villa loanee.
Ramsey, Riley McGree and Dael Fry are again all missing, but Marcus Forss has shaken off the knock he picked up against the Canaries and starts on the right flank for Boro.
Hayden Hackney looks set to start in a more advanced role on the left, with Mowatt partnering Jonny Howson in midfield.
On the bench, Rodrigo Muniz returns to the matchday squad for the first time since the win at Birmingham in early January.
Boro: Steffen, Smith, McNair, Lenihan, Giles; Howson, Mowatt; Forss, Akpom, Hackney; Archer
