Newcastle United return to action when they take on Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.

Here are all the details you need to know about the game…

WHERE IS THE GAME TAKING PLACE?

Newcastle’s return to action after the international break sees them on home soil as they take on Manchester United at St James’ Park.

The two sides have already met twice this season, with October’s league game at Old Trafford finishing in a goalless draw and last month’s Carabao Cup final at Wembley seeing Manchester United run out 2-0 winners.

Newcastle have won just two of their last nine home matches against the Red Devils, with their most recent win having come courtesy of Matty Longstaff’s match-winning strike in October 2019.

WHAT TIME IS KICK-OFF?

Sunday’s game kicks off at 4.30pm.

ARE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE?

No – Sunday’s game is complete sell-out, with all tickets in all sections of St James’ Park having been sold.

IS THE GAME BEING TELEVISED OR STREAMED LIVE?

Yes, Sunday’s game is being televised live on Sky TV. The game will be broadcast on the Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football channels.

With the game being broadcast live, there will be no domestic streaming in the UK.

Radio commentary will be available on BBC Radio Newcastle and BBC Five Live, and The Northern Echo’s Scott Wilson will be at St James’ Park providing a live blog, report, ratings, reaction and analysis on The Northern Echo’s website.

WHAT IS NEWCASTLE’S LIKELY LINE-UP?

Eddie Howe has received some good news this week, with a number of Newcastle’s injury issues having cleared up ahead of their return to domestic action.

Nick Pope has recovered from the thigh injury issue that forced him to drop out of the England squad for the Euros qualifying double-header against Italy and Ukraine, while Sven Botman is also back in training after recovering from the bout of food poisoning that forced him to withdraw from the Netherlands squad.

Anthony Gordon and Allan Saint-Maximin have been training in the last week - the former is regarded as 'touch and go' for the weekend, but Miguel Almiron remains around a month away from a first-team return despite having been pictured doing some light running last week.

Joelinton is available after completing a two-match suspension.

Newcastle (probable, 4-3-3): Pope; Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn; Guimaraes, Longstaff, Willock; Gordon, Isak, Joelinton.

HOW ARE MANCHESTER UNITED SHAPING UP?

Manchester United head into the weekend sitting in third position in the Premier League table, one point clear of fourth-placed Tottenham and three points clear of Newcastle, who are currently fifth.

Casemiro will miss Sunday’s game through suspension, but Marcus Rashford is expected to be available despite having withdrawn from Gareth Southgate’s England squad at the start of the international break.

Donny van de Beek and Christian Eriksen remain unavailable because of long-term injuries, while there are pre-match injury doubts over January signing Marcel Sabitzer and forward Anthony Martial.

Man Utd (probable, 4-2-3-1): De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, Shaw; Fred, McTominay; Antony, Fernandes, Rashford; Weghorst.
