7 Zack Steffen: Helpless for the goal. Solid afterwards, dominated box and calm with distribution.

7 Tommy Smith: Troubled at times in first half but kept his cool. Good after the break

8 Dael Fry: Won the battle against Gallagher. Immense in the second half.

8 Darragh Lenihan: Shaky start against his former club but recovered. Like Fry, outstanding after the break.

7 Ryan Giles: Blackburn did a better job than most sides of keeping the wing-back quiet. Influence grew as game went on.

7 Jonny Howson: Recovered from Wigan knock to put in typically excellent display. Alongside Hackney, helped Boro take control after the break.

8 Hayden Hackney: Quality, again. So composed on the ball, always looking forward. Excellent vision and pass for winning goal. Outstanding.

8 Riley McGree: Saw plenty of the ball in the first half and caused problems floating into pockets. Another beauty to add to his collection for the winning goal.

7 Chuba Akpom: No goals this time but again the key link between midfield and attack. Played a part in the equaliser.

7 Marcus Forss: Looked confused at times in the first half in unfamiliar wide role but stuck to his task and rewarded after the break with brilliant equaliser and assist.

7 Matt Crooks: Didn’t always look comfortable leading the line but still troubled Blackburn. Went close after just two minutes. Brilliant assist for equaliser. Tireless.
