MIDDLESBROUGH have handed a debut to Matt Clarke for this afternoon’s game against Swansea City but goalkeeper Zack Steffen is missing from the matchday squad as part of four changes.
Clarke will play alongside Darragh Lenihan and Paddy McNair in a back three on his Riverside. Steffen is out of the matchday squad with no word on his fitness as things stand. Liam Roberts makes his league debut for the club in goal.
Marc Bola, Dael Fry and Marcus Forss drop out of the side that lost 1-0 to Reading and are replaced by Clarke, Matt Crooks and Duncan Watmore.
Boro are going in search of their first league win of the season against a Swansea side who have ex-Boro defender Nathan Wood in their starting eleven.
