Darlington have boosted their squad on the eve of the season by signing winger Kaine Felix.

The quick-footed attacker only joined Peterborough Sports in June.

He played the first 45 minutes of their friendly on Tuesday against Peterborough United.

The 27-year-old, who will wear the No. 27 shirt for Quakers, starred with previous club Guiseley, and impressed in several appearances against Darlington in recent seasons.

Quakers manager Alun Armstrong said: "He is a quality player. He is a very tricky and experienced winger who will give us a different dimension. He has always given us problems whenever he has played against us in the past.

“I nearly got him a couple of years ago, but missed out. Finally he has decided to join us.”

Darlington start their season on Saturday at home against Gloucester City.
