MIDDLESBROUGH will head to the LNER Community Stadium to face York City for a pre-season friendly in July.
It’s the second time in consecutive summers that Boro will take on the Minstermen in a non-competitive tie at their home ground. The hosts won 2-1 last time out.
The game will take place on Friday July 8th. Chris Wilder’s side will then fly out to Portugal the following day for a week long training camp where they will be expected to play a further two games.
They will then face League One Morecambe on Tuesday July 19th as they head towards the later stages of pre-season.
York City recently gained promotion to the National League after beating Boston United 2-0 in their play-off final.
