ALEX NEIL has named an unchanged starting line-up for the first time in his Sunderland tenure as the Black Cats prepare to face Sheffield Wednesday for a place in the play-off final.
Neil has stuck with the same starting XI that secured a 1-0 win in the first leg at the Stadium of Light on Friday night.
That means Sunderland will continue to line up with a flat back four, with Lynden Gooch set to remain at right-back.
There is a significant face on the substitutes' bench though, with striker Nathan Broadhead returning to the squad.
Broadhead missed the first leg after sustaining a muscular injury in the 1-0 win at Morecambe on the final day of the regular season.
Sheffield Wednesday boss Darren Moore has made two changes, with Jack Hunt replacing Liam Palmer at right wing-back and Josh Windass getting the nod ahead of Saido Berahino in attack.
SUNDERLAND (4-2-3-1): Patterson; Gooch, Wright, Batth, Cirkin; Evans, O'Nien; Roberts, Pritchard, Clarke; Stewart.
Subs: Hoffmann, Doyle, Embleton, Broadhead, Neil, Matete, Hume.
SHEFF WED (3-4-1-2): Peacock-Farrell; Storey, Dean, Hutchinson; Hunt, Byers, Luongo, Johnson; Bannan; Windass, Gregory.
Subs: Wildsmith, Palmer, Dunkley, Mendez-Laing, Paterson, Berahino, Kamberi.
