Darlington have signed Nathan Lowe from South Shields, just over a year since first bringing him to the club.
Midfielder Lowe, who has celebrated his 26 birthday today, has joined on loan.
He began his career at Burnley before joining FC United when they were in the National League North.
He has also spent time with Southport and Spennymoor Town.
Lowe will be in the Darlington squad on Saturday at Blackwell Meadows when they face Boston United.
Lowe and goalkeeper Myles Boney joined Darlington on loan for a month in January 2021 as Shields’ season was essentially mothballed, with their squad unable to play matches or train together due to national Covid-19 restrictions.
However, before they could make an appearance, within days Quakers’ league season came to an end due to Covid.
