Darlington gave their best performance of the season to see off Hull 18-17.
After losing 51-11 on Humberside this season, Darlington must have feared the worst when they trailed 12-0 to a far bigger pack after only 13 minutes.
However, Andrew Peugh, Tom Bivvens and Evan Haigh turned the deficit around and they led 15-12. With 20 minutes to go, Darlington trailed 17-15, but a Haigh penalty from 30 meters was enough. Hull dropped a penalty short of the posts from 35 meters.
Standing out for Darlington were the back row of Byron Kramer, Richard Parker and Tom Wilkinson.
