MIDDLESBROUGH produced a comprehensive and comfortable display beating Huddersfield 2-1 at the John Smith's Stadium.

Duncan Watmore scored both of Boro's goals in Chris Wilder's first win in charge of the club.

Digital Sports Writer Matty Jones was watching the game in West Yorkshire and rated the players performance.

BORO

6 Daniels – Not much to report from his end because he didn’t have a lot to do.

7 Dijksteel – Impressive return to the side and gave the back three a natural balance on the right.

7 Bamba – Another solid display from Bamba and barely put a foot wrong. Great to comeback from his mistake at Preston.

7 McNair – An assured display from the Northern Irishman who carried the ball well and did his defensive duties.

7 Bola – Ran the left hand side really well and helped Boro build the attacks on a busy afternoon for the wing-back.

8 Jones – He’s been a menace going forward laying on Watmore’s first goal and did some important tracking back.

8 Howson – Dictated the play from that quarterback role and Huddersfield couldn’t

9 Crooks – Complete performance in midfield for Boro. Not only did he dictate play and grab an assist, he broke up Huddersfield attacks.

7 Tavernier – Worked tirelessly getting up and down the pitch for Boro and suited the number eight role well.

9 Watmore – Outstanding display. Some cracking finishes matched by the usual hard working display.

7 Sporar – Energetic and threatening for Boro and combined well with Watmore.
