MIDDLESBROUGH are carrying one or two knocks heading into tomorrow’s game against Huddersfield but Duncan Watmore and Andraz Sporar should be available for selection.
Watmore was withdrawn from the second half of the defeat to Preston on Tuesday as a precaution while Sporar rolled his ankle against Millwall last week and the club have been monitoring the problem since.
Manager Chris Wilder remained tight lipped on the players that are suffering with knocks but confirmed that he is confident of being able to select Watmore and Sporar for the trip to the John Smith’s Stadium.
The Slovenian has scored three goals in a Boro shirt this season while last season’s top scorer Watmore has one to his name.
Meanwhile, Dael Fry and Martin Payero are making good progress on their returns from injury and will continue their recovery over the weekend.
Wilder said: “They're stepping up their training over the weekend and will hopefully be back involved in the group on Monday.”
Fry has been out of action since October after limping off in the defeat to Hull City while Payero has been struggling with an achilles problem he picked up before the international.
Elsewhere, Huddersfield midfielder Duane Holmes has returned to training today with the hope of being fit to feature against Boro tomorrow afternoon.
