DARLINGTON conceded two goals in the final six minutes as Chester battled back to claim a 2-2 draw at the Deva Stadium.

Quakers looked like claiming all three points after goals from Jake Cooper and Jake Cassidy fired them into a two-goal lead.

But Chester hit back with two goals in just over a minute to salvage what had looked an unlikely draw.

Darlington broke the deadlock just before the half-hour mark with Cooper heading home from Jack Lambert's corner.

Alun Armstrong's side doubled their lead midway through the second half as Cassidy tapped home after Kallum Griffiths' shot had been saved.

Chester pulled a goal back in the 84th minute, with Kevin Roberts heading home from a corner.

And, just a minute later, the home side were celebrating a leveller as Jack Redshaw nodded home a cross from the right.
