ANDRAZ SPORAR is an injury doubt for Middlesbrough’s game at Cardiff City tomorrow after he was unable to take part in training yesterday.

Sporar suffered a muscular injury while on international duty with Slovenia, and while he was able to start Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Barnsley, he was forced off in the second half.

The issue should not cause any long-term problems, but having been forced to sit out training yesterday, Sporar will be assessed later today before Boro boss Neil Warnock settles on his starting line-up for tomorrow’s lunchtime kick-off in South Wales.

Warnock said: “I’m going to have a chat with him (Sporar) later today. He didn’t train yesterday, so I’ll have a look at him and see what the situation is.”

Boro are still without their four first-choice defenders – Anfernee Dijksteel, Grant Hall, Dael Fry and Marc Bola – and the quartet are set to remain on the sidelines for another fortnight.

Warnock said: “There’ll be no one back at the weekend, in fact I don’t think anybody will be back for a couple of weeks yet.”
