EIGHTH tier Marske United are preparing to write their own history in the FA Cup in a replay against Chester tomorrow evening.

The Seasiders battled their way to a goalless draw at the weekend against the National League North side at Mount Pleasant which was watched by over 800 fans. They'll head to the Deva Stadium tomorrow night for a place in the fourth qualifying round.

Carl Jarrett's side have already overcome higher league opposition in the competition beating South Shields in the last round by three goals to nil.

If they were to win tomorrow night, it won't be the first time they've beaten National League North oppositon. Last season, they beat Blyth Spartans by a goal to nil to reach the fourth qualifying round before their season was curtailed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Marske were drawn away to Brackley Town where they would go on to lose 5-1.

Meanwhile, Spennymoor Town are also in FA Cup replay action tomorrow night where they will go to Southport.

The weekend's tie produced a goalless draw at the Brewery Field.
