BORO XI (3-5-2):

6 Lumley – The own goal was cruel and there’s nothing he could have done about the rebound. Clean sheet was all but there until ten minutes from time.

6 Fry – Manfully stood up to the task of battling with Eaves and had to come off after a series of heavy knocks.

7 Bamba – Put his body on the line and made some key blocks. Another solid display from the veteran.

6 Peltier – Was drawn inside a lot and left the right hand side exposed at times. Another booking means he’s now suspended for the next game.

6 Bola – Provided a threat down the left hand side but still not convinced he is one hundred per cent fit.

7 Tavernier – Was the architect behind a lot of Boro attacks. However, should have scored on numerous occasions.

6 McNair – Struggled to get a grip of the ball with the weather conditions. Was unlucky not to score only to be denied by a great Ingram save.

6 Howson – Looked off the pace and misplaced a number of passes. That being said, the weather played it’s part.

6 Crooks – Would have wanted to have more of an influence on the game. He didn’t register an effort on goal.

7 Watmore – Showed plenty of endeavour and hard work. You can always rely on him to run into the ground.

6 Sporar – The Slovenian had two chances being released in on goal and you’d expect him to take them. Ultimately proved costly.
