SUNDERLAND have released images and details of their new yellow away strip for the 2021-22 season.
Influenced by the club’s popular third shirt from the 1989-90 and 1990-91 campaigns, the yellow design is complimented by a blue trim.
The shirt also takes subtle references from the Black Cats' 2013-14 away kit worn throughout their run to the 2014 League Cup Final.
Local electric pop duo ZELA, comprising of siblings Liv and Max Griff, launched the new away number, which will be available to order exclusively via the online store from August 2. The Stadium of Light club store remains closed.
Sunderland's players will wear the new away kit for the first time in this evening's friendly at York City.
