ASHLEY FLETCHER is facing at least a fortnight on the sidelines with the muscular injury sustained in Tuesday’s defeat to Bristol City.

The striker will not be involved in tomorrow’s home game with Cardiff City, and could miss up to five more matches because of his latest setback.

Fletcher has already been forced to sit out three months of the current campaign with a serious hamstring problem.

Middlesbrough boss Neil Warnock said: “We still don’t really how know exactly how long he’ll (Fletcher) be out for.

“But he’ll definitely not play this weekend. I would imagine he’ll be two or three weeks out again.”

Marcus Tavernier and Yannick Bolasie are both back in training, but neither is expected to feature when Cardiff visit the Riverside tomorrow.

Warnock said: “Him (Tavernier) and Yannick are both training. But we’ve got Tuesday next week away at Coventry and then Swansea away. So, we don’t want to rush things.”
