MIDDLESBROUGH have secured the future of emerging talent Isaac Fletcher by agreeing the 18-year-old’s first professional contract at the club.
Fletcher’s performances at Under-23 level have created quite an impression in the last few weeks, with the midfielder having scored a hat-trick against Sunderland and added another goal in a 3-0 win over Burnley.
His displays resulted in him being nominated for October’s Player of the Month award in Premier League 2, and are sure to have attracted interest from elsewhere.
As a result, Boro have moved quickly to tie down the Teessider, who first joined the club’s Rockliffe Park academy at the age of ten and was a member of the Under-14s squad that won national honours in 2016.
