DYLAN McGEOUCH has agreed a deal that will see him leave Sunderland to join Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen.
McGeouch is understood to have travelled to Aberdeen this morning to finalise the terms of his return to his homeland.
The midfielder is set to make a permanent move to Pittodrie, with Aberdeen having reignited their interest after making an unsuccessful attempt to sign him last summer.
McGeouch, who missed the festive period with a calf injury, was signed by Jack Ross, but has hardly featured since Phil Parkinson took over on Wearside.
The 26-year-old has made 42 senior appearances for Sunderland in all competitions, with his most recent outing having come in November's FA Cup replay defeat at Gillingham.
He joins Laurens de Bock on the list of January departures, with the full-back’s loan deal from Leeds United having been brought to an end.
