THE final race action of the 2007 season takes place at Croft Circuit this weekend when the British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) holds its Winterseries Race Meeting.

With a distinct Renault theme, there will be the final two rounds of both the Renault Clio Winterseries and the Formula Renault Winterseries in addition to the Renault Sports Club Trackday sessions for members.

Ulsterman Kris Loane leads the 2007 Formula Renault UK with Michelin Winter Cup ahead of Birmingham driver Riki Christodoulou after a win and a podium finish in rounds one and two at Donington Park last weekend and the pair will be looking for more success at the fast North Yorkshire track.

Welshman Richard Singleton also sampled victory at Donington and will be in the mix along with the likes of recently crowned Formula Renault BARC champion Hywel Lloyd from Corwen.

Jon Lancaster from Leeds is also expected to be to the fore.

Defending ELF Renault Clio Winter Cup champion Niki Lanik made the perfect start to landing a second successive crown by taking a double at Donington Park last weekend, but the Ashurst Wood-based Austrian will face some more tough competition this weekend in the final two rounds.

Jesmond rookie Harry Vaulkhard will be looking to impress on his local track after claiming a sensational pole position at Donington on his Clio Cup debut.

Qualifying begins at 9am and the first of four races is scheduled for 11am with the final one taking place at 3pm.

Adult admission is 5 per person with children aged 15 and under admitted free.
