NEWCASTLE UNITED have agreed to allow Lee Clark to join former Magpies manager Glenn Roeder at Norwich City.
Clark has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal and has become assistant manager at Carrow Road, where Roeder took over earlier this week.
The 35-year-old said: "I have worked with Glenn before at Newcastle and when he asked me to think about coming down and joining him at Norwich it was a decision I could not turn down.
"It was a tough decision but to come and work alongside someone like Glenn again was the perfect opportunity for me and to be given the role of assistant manager means he's shown a lot of faith in me."
Clark has left his role as coach at Newcastle and it is unclear whether Allardyce will be replacing him within his backroom set-up.
