ENGLAND’S T20 against Australia at Emirates Riverside next summer is a sell out – but the club hope to install extra seats which would mean a further batch being made available.
Tickets for the game, on Friday, July 3 at 6.30pm, sold out in record time. All tickets for the fixture – which will see the two Ashes rivals engage in a T20 battle - were bought ahead of the opening of today's national general sale date.
Durham Cricket marketing director David Jackson said: “We have been delighted by the response to the game which shows cricket is as popular as ever in the region.
“The sell-out comes on the back of record crowds at this summer’s T20 Blast games at the ground and three sell-out World Cup games. We are working with our seating provider to install additional seats and hope to have these on sale soon so that as many people as possible can come to the game.”
