HARTLEPOOL UNITED (4-3-3):
6 Loach: Of the two keepers, he had the least to do and didn’t have much to concern himself with;
6 Kioso: Combative, did what he had to do on the right and had a couple of second half scoring openings which he couldn’t take advantage of
6 Edgar: Positioning sense on the pitch sees him right with Kerr the more dominant of the pair
6 Kerr: No fuss, no frills just defends well and solidly when he’s called upon
6 Anderson: Exposed for pace a couple of times out wide, but part of a firm enough back line;
8 Featherstone: Played with a forward drive and determination in the middle, showed more on the front foot than he normally does
6 Donaldson: The safer of the midfielders in there, disciplined and effective while slightly pegged back as Featherstone roamed
8 HOLOHAN: Scored last week, provided an assist this time and offers something different to Pools’ midfield;
8 James: Full of beans, a textbook Luke James performance and took his goal smartly as he dashed across his man to touch home
7 Kabamba: Challenged for everything and brought others into play throughout, went close to adding
8 Molyneux: Always a spark when he attacks the opposition and took up a good position to turn and finish well to win it.
HALIFAX TOWN (4-2-3-1): Hanson 7 (Freedman 72), Clarke 6, Brown 7, Scarz 5; Berrett 5, Staunton 6; Kosylo 6, King 7, Rodney 6; Duku 5 (Gondoh 66, 5). Subs (not used): Preston, Rowley, Quigley.
