MIDDLESBROUGH manager Tony Pulis has made ten changes for this evening's Carabao Cup second-round game with Rochdale.

Daniel Ayala is the only member of the side that started Friday's win over West Brom to keep his place in tonight's starting line-up.

Andy Lonergan, who was Boro's penalty shoot-out hero in the first round, starts in goal, with Enes Mahmutovic and Marvin Johnson filling the full-back positions.

Ayala will be partnered by 16-year-old Nathan Wood at the heart of the back four, with Grant Leadbitter, Mo Besic and Paddy McNair filling the midfield positions.

Jordan Hugill makes his first Boro start in attack following his summer move from West Ham United, with Marcus Tavernier and Ashley Fletcher completing the attacking positions.

MIDDLESBROUGH (4-3-3): Lonergan; Mahmutovic, Wood, Ayala, Johnson; McNair, Leadbitter, Besic; Tavernier, Fletcher, Hugill.

Subs: Konstantopoulos (gk), Spence, Liddle, Malley, Chapman, Brahimi, Walker.
