CARDIFF City have accepted Sunderland's £5m offer for former Newcastle United striker Michael Chopra.
The Gosforth-born marksman has returned from Cardiff's pre-season training camp in Portugal this morning to commence contract talks with Black Cats officials.
"I am sorry to see him go, everybody in the camp is," said Cardiff boss Dave Jones. "But we wish him all the best with Sunderland."
Chopra's arrival at the Stadium of Light is unlikely to be universally welcomed by Sunderland supporters as the 23-year-old is a self-confessed Newcastle United fan.
