NEWCOMERS Sunderland will kick-off the new Premiership season on August 11 first, after the Black Cats' first game was selected by Sky television.

Tottenham's visit to Wearside will now take place at 12.45pm, rather than the 3pm scheduled time, and is the first of six matches in front of the TV cameras for Sunderland in the first three months.

The second home game against Liverpool has also been brought forward to a 12.45pm kick-off on August 25, while Roy Keane's first return to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United on Saturday September 1, will be at 5.15pm .

Newcastle's visit to Sunderland on November 10 has also been brought forward to a 12.45 kick-off.

Middlesbrough, meanwhile, have had their date with Wigan in the opening week of the season put back by 24 hours.

Boro will now face the Latics at 8pm on August 15, while Mark Viduka's return to the Riverside Stadium will be on Setanta Sports at 1.30pm on August 24.
