CHESTER-LE-STREET completely overwhelmed their visitors from Glasgow to reach the last 16 of the national knock-out Cockspur Cup, writes CHRIS WEST.
The game was virtually over once Wayne Ritzema and Quinten Hughes put on 223 for the first wicket in just 34 overs.
Both recorded centuries, Hughes' 109 included 5 sixes and 8 fours, whilst Ritzema struck 3 sixes and 9 fours in his 101. Street amassed a mammoth 347 in their 45 over innings which included 43 extras of which 23 were wides.
The Glaswegians were then rocked when they lost their first six wickets for only 32 runs, with the innings totally wrapped up in just 20.1 overs for 87, as the Scots were defeated by a massive 260 runs.
