PAUL Collingwood has marked his maiden Test appearance at Riverside with his fifth Test century.
The Shotley Bridge-born all-rounder reached three figures with a pulled boundary before celebrating in front of his home crowd.
The century, which came off 149 balls and included 13 fours, has helped England assume the upper hand on the penultimate day of the fourth Test.
The hosts are currently 325-6, a lead of 38 runs, and skipper Michael Vaughan could opt to declare before close of play this evening.
