AFTER his unbeaten 88 gave Durham the chance of an unlikely win at Edgbaston today Keaton Jennings said: “There's still a long way to go.”
The opener's unbroken stand of 67 with Paul Collingwood left Durham needing 84 with six wickets standing and he added: “We just have to get ourselves back in and keep chipping away.
“It's the sort of pitch where it's difficult to get in and wickets fall in clusters. I enjoy getting stuck in. People joke about me crabbing around and certain things went my way when on another day they wouldn't. My top-edged six was certainly squeaky bum time.”
Durham's other star was James Weighell with five wickets and Jennings said: “I'll enjoy having a beer with him tonight. All the bowlers did a really good job in getting us back into the game.
“The Warwickshire bowlers didn't allow us to get away. When such a free-scoring batsman as Mark Stoneman is tied down it shows how difficult it is. But he did a great job in creating the platform.”
