LUKE James is back at Hartlepool United, after signing on loan from Peterborough.

The striker left Pools for Posh in a £500,000 deal in August 2014.

He has been on loan at Bradford this season, but that deal has been cut short to allow him to return to the club where he netted 22 goals in 100 games for the club (65 starts) in all competitions.

Pools hoped to have the deal tied up last week, long before tonight's transfer deadline, but have had to wait longer than anticpated.

He has trained with his team-mates this morning and is likely to start Saturday's League Two game at Notts County.

The deal, revealed in this morning's Northern Echo, means James will stay with Pools until the end of the campaign.
