Arsene Wenger believes Manchester United's momentum in chasing the double will give them the edge over Chelsea.

The Arsenal boss believes that success will have instilled the self-belief that they are destined to triumph at Wembley.

''I think Manchester United have a psychological advantage. They are on a high and can do the double,'' he said.

''Usually that drives you through a little bit. Chelsea will have the idea of revenge to show how strong they are. What will take over I don't know.

''But I was twice in a situation where we could do the double.

''Both times I felt we did not have an outstanding game but the fact that we were on a winning streak just pushed us through. We had not a doubt we would win it. You just win because you feel you are in the winner's position.

''I feel that psychologically it is an advantage to have won the title.''

Wenger also compared Chelsea to a boxer.

Arsenal drew 1-1 with Jose Mourinho's side earlier this month and Wenger said: ''In the first 25 minutes of the second half we dominated the game.

''But then it became too easy, too show-off.

''When it came back to 1-1 our heads dropped and they thought 'oh, maybe we can do something special here and keep it all alive'.

''They had a fantastic response. That is a little characteristic of Chelsea. I feel they are like a boxer.

''They let you box, box, box, then, when you are half-dead, they kill you off because they have that natural individual strength in their bodies.

''Take Michael Essien, Mikel John Obi or Frank Lampard. In the 85th minute they can go through you like a knife through butter.''
