ENGLAND vice-captain Andrew Flintoff failed to travel with the team to Sunday's crucial Group C World Cup match against Canada at the Beausejour Stadium after being dropped for disciplinary reasons.
The Lancashire all-rounder was one of a number of players involved in a late-night drinking session immediately after Friday's opening defeat to New Zealand.
Reports suggested Flintoff had to be helped out of the sea in the early hours of Saturday morning local time, near to the team hotel.
Speaking at the toss, ahead of Sunday's game, skipper Michael Vaughan said: "Freddie Flintoff has breached team discipline. We will talk about it later as a management group.
"For now we just want to focus on today's game. He is not here today, he's back at the team hotel."
