THIS week we catch up with Northern Echo Camera Club member Stuart Fawbert.

Who or what inspired you to take up photography?

My main hobby is walking, but I’ve always had an interest in photography. I wouldn’t call myself a photographer though. More a happy snapper.

Is there anything in particular you enjoy photographing most, and why?

Because I am always out walking, most of my photos are landscapes. If it looks good I take a photo and move on.

Of all the photos you’ve taken, which has been your favourite, and why?

The one where the sheep was jumping over a stream near High Cup Nick. Right place, right time.

What’s your go-to kit at the moment?

I just have an entry level DSLR, Nikon D3400

Do you spend much time in post-production and what software do you use?

Minimal time. I use Adobe Lightroom. Quick and easy.

Do you have any advice for budding photographers?

Just have a go.
