EVERY Monday, we profile a Northern Echo Camera Club member and publish their favourite images
Who or what inspired you?
NO one person or photographer inspired me. I’ve always been interested in the arts including music, and photography gives me a way of expressing myself artistically.
Your first camera?
MY first digital camera was Vivitar 270pz compact camera which was bought for me as a Christmas present so I could take some images at Glastonbury festival. My first DSLR was a Canon 600d bought in 2013.
What do you most enjoy photographing?
LANDSCAPE photography is my first passion. I enjoy trying to find new views and angles of popular destinations and I am always fascinated about how the same landscape can look so different at different times of the day and seasons of the year.

Favourite picture?
BLUE Winter. It was taken on the first shoot with my new DSLR, and the feedback I got after putting it onto social media really fuelled my enthusiasm for my new hobby.
Your go-to kit at the moment?
THE Canon 6d and for landscapes I am using the Canon 24-105mm lens. My tripod is the Manfrotto Carbon Fibre with the three geared head.
Advice for budding snappers?
GO out and take as many images as possible. Learn how to use your camera and how different settings alter the final image. Don’t be afraid to show your results to others and take on board constructive criticism.
