WITH reference to the angry concert-goers walking out at Gerry Marsden’s “tirade against the police” during a concert at Darlington Civic Theatre (Echo, Sept 18).
I was at the Sixties Gold event and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The people who complained forget that the city of Liverpool is very angry that our police force covered up the Hillsborough disaster.
Gerry was right to vent his anger at the police and most of the audience applauded everything he said.
There was also a standing ovation at the end of the concert.
RIP the 96.
