TO SAY that I am proud of Queen Elizabeth II would be an understatement. It has been an honour to take part in the diamond jubilee celebrations with millions of others.
When I watched the concert at Buckingham Palace on Monday, which saw those Nutty Boys, Madness, perform on the palace roof, I am not ashamed to admit that I felt great pride as Prince Charles paid tribute to his “Mummy”. I stood proud and sang the National Anthem at home with my son, George, paying homage to our monarch. I feel very proud to be British and I am proud of the Royal Family, and judging by the celebrations during the Bank Holiday, I am also proud to say I am not alone. Thank you for the last 60 years of loyal service, Ma’am, and God Save The Queen.
Christopher Wardell, Darlington.
