MAY I through this letter express my appreciation to all the volunteers who helped stage the game against Fleetwood at the weekend.
Without them the game would not have been possible. Also a special thanks to all the fans from other clubs for their support. We didn’t get the result we wanted and it was plain to see that the players were not fully match fit after the last week or so but, for all their fancy football, Fleetwood didn’t pose too many threats.
What a pity that a team so high in the league could only muster approximately 50 away supporters, our away fans put them to shame.
Let’s hope that a rescue bid can be put together, that the club can see out the remainder of this season and start afresh in a new, rather smaller, home.
Ken Tait, Ferryhill.
