NIGEL BODDY (HAS, Sept 12) implores the UK rail authorities to consider using tilting trains as an alternative to the proposed high speed line from Euston to the North.
He ought to be aware that the route is already served by Virgin Pendolinos, which employ tilting technology and were introduced in 2002.
Coupled with the multi-billion pound upgrade of the West Coast Main Line they have revolutionised travel from London to Scotland.
